New Greens History
New Greens Construction Our new greens are coming along very well with all greens in play except for number 5.  Many thanks to Jerry and Neal for their hard work as well as several of our members for pitching in!

NewGreens_Number5.JPG The only one we have had a problem with is #5 which has been covered with a porous tar. It had been covered with mulch but wheat starting germinating so the mulch was replaced by the tarp after all of the wheat had been hand removed.

NewGreens_JerryHardy2.JPGJerry and Neal Hardy have been working extremely hard to keep water going daily.  They have overseeded the greens which should help the new grass to get established.  Be sure to thank Jerry and Neal for their efforts to ensure our greens get established to insure solid coverage.  You'll appreciate this once you make that first 20' that rolls true!!

NewGreensGolfers.JPG We would like to thank those golfers who have continued to play at Headland Country Club using the temporary greens while the new greens are getting established.  For any golfers who have been playing elsewhere or those who have never played our course, we invite you to come visit us as we get prepared for the upcoming season.

For our members, we urge you to continue playing as we need your support!
